ANTHONY LOST & FOUND

Anthony, a middle-aged man more or less satisfied with his life, suddenly finds himself getting a divorce - initiated by the until recently concealed unhappiness of his wife, Katherine. This devastating turn of events forces him to face challenges on many fronts, as he struggles to redefine himself as a father, a man living alone, and a man with a future he can believe in. His anger and confusion slowly transform into acceptance and determination as he builds a life for himself in this new world.

His troubles are documented by his friend Dave, who has a new-found enthusiasm for filmmaking and decides that Anthony will be his first subject. Dave's naive and immature outlook on life sometimes creates situations where his camera's presence is unwanted and even intrusive. Over the course of the story, Dave is forced to deal with his own lack of direction and purpose, and step up to the role of an adult and the tasks of an engaged life.

ANTHONY LOST & FOUND is viewed by the audience solely through Dave's camera. This creates a sense of immediacy and intimacy - rather than a passive presentation of carefully chosen shots and meticulously staged scenes that constitute a traditional film experience.

The Writer/Director (and the character of Dave in this story), is a McKnight Fellow in Screenwriting and creator of award winning films and screenplays. This is his first foray into a POV (point-of-view) style of cinematography. He will be combining a conventional feature presentation style - with multiple locations and in-scene editing - with a single subjective viewpoint, providing a unique mix of "found-footage" and traditional storytelling.

This film reflects some of the director's own experiences as an divorced man and father, as well as the experiences had by all when confronted by the truths of our lives that force us to change in order to survive and grow as human beings.
